People were sometimes using one type of medicine to cure numerous ailments. It wasn’t until the late 20s that penicillin was discovered and early 1940s before it was mass produced. Today, there are pills and syrups for almost all illnesses out there; in addition to aids for insomnia, relaxation, headaches, and staying alert. All of these pills, liquids, and concoctions will be a mere memory after the Second Coming of Christ. As John writes in Revelation 21:4, “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Lifelong Illness There are those illnesses and diseases that are such that even medicine won’t cure.
