Bound for Eternity, pt. 4   Introduction Contrary to popular belief, when people die, and leave this mortal realm, they do not immediately go to Heaven (or Hell). The saying, “She’s looking down on us right now” has no merit whatsoever. Instead, there is a place that is more of a “waiting room” of those who left mortality and are waiting for Judgment Day. Jesus speaks of this place, called Hades, in Luke 16:19-21. There are two sides to Hades; Abraham’s Bosom (Paradise in Lk. 23:43) and Tartarus (Torment in Lk. 16:23). Between the two locations is an impassable gulf. Introduction In Chapters 4 and 5 of the Book of Revelation, we see a detailed vision of the throne room of Heaven. Keeping in mind that this is not a literal description; rather a figurative one as announced in Rev. 1:3. But we see God sitting on His throne and His Son, Jesus, approaching the throne in regards to the scroll with the seven seals. A lot of people these days think that there is a similar scene in Hell; while God sits on His throne in Heaven, Satan sits on his throne in Hell. Some might instantly say, “Heaven” while others might flippantly, or even proudly say, “Hell”. But what if I told you that, according to scripture, you would not go to neither place when you die?
