There is No Studying

Image
Things Not Found on Judgment Day, Part 3   Introduction One of the important factors of learning anything is to study. We study our whole life whether we know it or not. In schools we study English, Math, Languages, History, etc. At work we study how things are done, proper work etiquette, associating with co-workers, etc. At home, as children, we study our parents as how to behave with each other and in society. When it comes to the bible, however, a lot of people suddenly don’t want to study and find excuses not to do so. There will come a day when the opportunity to study is gone and that’s when most will want to study.   I Want to Feel Good about Myself Today’s society, that attend worship, want a positive message that’s filled with love, care, and even a little humor. After being beaten up by the world for 5 or 6 days, the last thing they want is a sermon on Hell or Sin. This is one of the main reasons that megachurches and community churches are so popular. Thes

There are No Mistrials

Things Not Found on Judgment Day, Part 2 Introduction Any individual brought before the court in this mortal realm hopes that there is insufficient evidence, or the possibility of no verdict being brought after a jury deliberates. On Judgment Day, there is no possibility of a mistrial.   Definition of Mistrial A trial that has no legal effect with regard to one or more of the charges brought against the defendant because of some serious error or prejudicial misconduct in the proceedings or a hung jury. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary) A hung jury is one that cannot come to a decision in regard to a case. However, there is no jury at Judgment Day. It’s just you and the judge; one-on-one.   Who is the Judge? The judge on the final day of judgment will be Christ Jesus himself. It won’t be God the Father as Jesus states in John 5:22, “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son.” This is confirmed by Luke in Acts 17:31, “because He has appointed

There Are No Unbelievers

Things Not Found on Judgment Day, Part 1   Series Introduction At the beginning of the year, we looked at the afterlife and proved, from scriptures, that: Heaven and Hell are real, everyone is on a path to one or the other, no one goes directly to their final rest…yet, and all will be judged. In this series, we’ll take a closer look at the Day of Final Judgment and, more specifically what you won’t find there. This may be an eye-opening experience for some.   Article Introduction In Psalm 14:1 and 53:1 it states, The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none who does good. A lot of people out there want to deny the existence of God simply on the basis that they can’t see him. However, people can’t see the wind but they acknowledge its existence as they see and feel the end result. On the final day of judgment, there won’t be any unbelievers. Everything that one has denied in life, will be fully

Filled or Full?

Introduction Last time we asked the question, Are you hungry? We sited Matthew 5:6, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.   In this article, I want to look at the response that Jesus gives to those who are hungry for righteousness. Several years ago, I invited a co-worker to come to worship with me as I was preaching a lesson at the time. She had to think it over and would get back with me. The next day her reply was that she didn’t want to come as she was already full of “Spiritual Goodness”. These weren’t her exact words, but it was that sentiment. Confused but her statement that she was full, I asked our local preacher about her comment. And he replied that I should have asked her what it was like to be full; seeing that she was “further along” than the rest of us.   Definitions (from Webster’s Dictionary) Filled—2. a. Feed, Satiate, b. Satisfy, fulfill Full—6. a. satisfied especially with food or drink; b. large e
